Our mission is to celebrate the positive contributions of our community, individuals and cultures through festivals and awards recognition; including promotion, education, preservation and encouragement for continued growth of Jazz, Art, Movies, Music, and Spokenword as well as to recognize and honor those who make positive contributions in our community outside of the arts.
The Asante Foundation has three primary initiatives that celebrates the pinnacles of our culture:
• The Asante Awards Show
• The Asante Kids Festival
• The Asante’s Most Wanted Career Achiever’s Billboard
They are dedicated to those who have contributed to the success of our culture and communities throughout New Orleans, with little to no recognition. We make an effort to acknowledge and preserve the historical biographies of those who have done things currently in our community. Be a part of celebrating our community's cultural assets as a positive member of the Asante Foundation. The Asante Foundation has a growing family of honorees and many others who participate and being a member of Asante would continue to build that community.
How can I become a member of Asante?
There are several core goals embedded in the Asante Foundation that we believe every member should take pride in doing:
• Commit to the mission of the Asante Foundation
• Be an active member of the Asante Foundation
• Recognize, esteem, and nominate persons in our community by awarding them with Asante (Thank You) Crystal Awards
• Support Asante through in-kind financial services
• Be advocates of the Foundation and tell others about Asante's mission and benefits

There are several different levels, all of which are noted by title and organization. Please speak with someone at the Asante Foundation more about which level you would like to join:
